That all depends on what Lake IM at--I find different baits work better at different Lakes- I can,t buy a hit at Willisburg lake on my CC BAIT----:)

up here in ice country when the water isn't hard I like berkley power minnows. will catch anything, perch to bass and bigger, caught a 36" muskie on 3' power minnow.:)

When I can't buy a bite on my favorite half ounce rattle trap i go to the old trusty 7 inch berkley power worm in pumpkin seed with a 1/4 ounce sinker. It seems to always put a fish in the boat here and there. Most of the time just a speed up or slow down on the r/t will get the job done too. I change baits more times on the lake than I change drarrs though but I always have a punkin seed rigged up though.

i would have to say a pin minnow trout color always works good for me. not always the biggest fish but i can throw it and get something on almost every lake here in ky.

Punkin colored jig and paca craw in same color or a black and blue jig-n-pig with either a paca craw or actual uncle josh #11 pork chunk. I throw a jig about 80% of the year.

Rootbeer Bandit or a red shad culprit in that order. If I can't get it done with them, I ain't gonna get it done. I have no idea why I have another hundred or so choices in the boat though.

Going to have to try this rootbeer bandit. I have heard alot of things on it. Believe ill make a trip tommorow.Thanks guys for all the hits. Just wondering what different fisherman used.

Hook Some Bass Baby Brush Hog Watermelon Red texas rigged with florida rattlin tungsten sinker, appropriate weight for water depth, fished on the lightest flourocarbon line that I can get away with as slow as possible.

WHATT???????????!!!!!!!!!!! I've caught fish (good fish too) on rootbeer bandits - 200's and 300's in every lake I have fished in Kentucky. I have a picture in my profile of a 6 pounder caught late last fall on a rootbeer bandit on Ky lake. They are deadly on Nolin and Barren too. Also caught quite a few smaller bass paddling my way to the dam up the Dix river en route to catch some trout (they don't work for trout though).

I don't however like the hooks that come on bandits. I always change them right out of the box with some gam's. If you haven't tried them, they are definitely worth a shot. A very quality, affordable crankbait. I have an entire box devoted to them.
