Re: Cumberland bad water
I have been lost big time due to fog, worst time on Lake michigan, and dale is also tricky tome at times in the fog. Cumberland, well a guide told me a simple thing to remember, always have a compass, that has been with me for yrs, and on cumberland, the creeks run mainly north and south, the lake east and west

Re: Cumberland bad water
Another little tip is to look at your wake behind you. If it is straight, you are going straight.
We used to cross the Ohio river that way in the fog. In hindsight, I won't cross the river in heavy fog anymore. Too many barges.
