"baby cub go sleepy dreamy". WGFS is great
"Baby Cub go nighty nighty", WGFS is my favorite fishing show because not only do you get some pretty good information, you get Mark Zona who is one funny dude in the boat. For entertainment and good information combined then WGFS is my favorite.
"Schooled with Denny Brauer (sp) was pretty good until ESPN screwed that up and cancelled the show. They keep an idiot like Charlie Moore and get rid of a realy quality show like "Schooled". I will never understand that.
For learning good information, you can't beat "The Bass Pros" and "Bass Pro Shops Fishing". Both of these are excellent and the first 4 minutes on The Bass Pros is called Fishing in 4 is the most informative part of any fishing show that I have seen.
Hunt for Big Fish with Larry Dahlberg is fun to watch for all this guy does is travel all around the globe hunting for "Its a GIANT, oh my gosh it is a GIANT" (for all those Ike fans). Larry does not care about plush accomodations for he is in it for the fish. There are a couple of his shows that are really fun to watch, one on Peacock Bass somewhere in the rain forest another he is catching the Golden Eldorado (sp) in some foreign land and another where they are catching Giant Grouper upwards to 400lbs around these off shore oil rigs.
Beevis and BUTTHEAD fish Dale.........They have a GREAT looking white basscat, and both wear masks..........sometimes they have a Junior Beevis with them.
Not that you ever see these folks on Dale since you're usually:
1) Taking a nap
2) Making the latest Rachael Ray recipe
3) Fixing something broken on your boat (if nothing is broken, you look for something to "tweak", "tune-up", or "mod")
4) Re-tying your line after snapping off your 8th $10 spinner bait
5) Calling it a day early so you can go back and take a shower and nap with your sweethea...er...partner before dinner.
So... before accusations are thrown around, let me just lay some cards on the table. ;)
WGFS is the best out now... Zona is hilarious... and has a thing for the brownfish. I think "Fishin' Hole with Jerry McKinnis" was the best before they retired the show last year.
AP
i remember when i was a kid there was a show called fish fishburn it was pretty funny and kinda informative but i would say i will have to go with bass saturday and the flw outdoors....
Right now I like the Ultimate Match Fishing show
College guys right now....
I need to fishhhhhhhhh
Oh how I miss watching Virgil Ward screw everything up he touched. For those that don't know him he makes Bill Dance look like best fisherman there ever was.
Found the theme song lyrics to his show on google.
"Championship Fishing TV Show Theme Song"
From the lakes of northern Canada
To the Gulf fo Mexico.
Wherever fish are biting
That's where we're going to go.
There's a lot of exciting country
Just waiting to be explored.
So join us now in the great outdoors,
The World of Virgil Ward
Right on, WGFS is right on.......................... I also like Bass Pros and Scott Martin Challenge is pretty cool for those that haven't seen it. He has had several recent shows on Kentucky Lake.
Baby Cub go nighty, dreamy...................
I would REALLY like Charlie Moore if only he really was getting beaten about the face and head with a tire tool by someone about the size of Schwarzenegger.
Anything with the Lindners of In-Fishermanand the great Bill Dance. In KY we have a show called KY Afield and I love their fishing segments. You can watch all these via youtube.com just type in search KY Afield.
