This thread hits close to home...My sister has to wear a colostomy (aka - bag) on her side since she had her colon removed six years ago. She was 50 when she was diagnosed with colon cancer and they had to take the entire colon out. However, she was "lucky" in the fact that they got it all, she never had to have any chemo or radiation or anything else and today, six years later is living a very productive life. I'm 46 and should have had the test done 6 years ago (tens years younger than the age she was diagnosed)...as of this posting I haven't done it yet but I know I'm flirting with disaster. I need to get my fearfull rear end to the examination table. Thanks for starting this thread as a reminder.
