Re: lake Cumberland bound
We got down to c-land Wednesday after noon. We fished in the evening for about 3 hour main lake, around c-land point, no luck, water temp 53 degrees, water looked good a little stained. On Thursday morning we got a late start, didn’t get on water until around 7:30 it rained on us the whole time out, we made it about 3 hours, until are gloves got wet and are hands got cold and are waterproof tackle box fill up with water:)fish up faubush creek, water temp 54 to 55 degrees, water had a little more stain to it, then the main lake does. We had no luck there either.(A bad day of fishing is still better then a good day at work ::::) Today Friday morning, has I’m sitting here working on this report in the camper, listing to the heavy rain fall hitting the roof, seeing lighting flash out the window, I have no plans for fishing today. We are going to try some of the pointers, we got here on this post, for sat and sun….. Thanks again for the pointers.
Re: lake Cumberland bound
Seldom, the lake is turning in spots be sure to not fish in that water if you can avoid it. It will be brownish with a slimy film on top and maybe even a little odor. Come on down towards Jamestown and fish the main lake cuts and points, if that doesn't pay off head back into the creeks. Half way back towards the mouth should be where the brown fish are and the Kentucks and slickheads will be towards the heads of the creek. Throw that 1/2 oz bucktail at the banks some you can get the stripers or a big smallmouth right now doing that. This rain ***** but we might as well get used to it because it's here to stay apparently. Good luck and sling us a play by play on how you are doing.
Re: lake Cumberland bound
We fished a lot of creeks around Conley this morning and the main lake, and had no luck. The creeks are really muddy now after monsoon :D , the water temperature in the creeks is about 52 to 53 now. The main lake is around 50-51 deg.with lots of debris. We plan to fish a bit before we head back home Sunday..
