No it is just alittle creek, if you dont look for it you would never see it. It is before otter creek. Next time Im out there I will give you some better land markings. I fished the mouth of Otter creek last night, one 28lb flathead not alot going on last night. There was some bait up in Otter creek. We were using live creek chubs and live bluegill last night just for flats. The blues are nesting right now, they are hitting slow, give it another 2-3 weeks and they will be hot.
Hey Chris did you get my pm? if so call me today I have some more question. the weather fools say it is to cool down after sat. i'll be off again tues. it sounds like your using a carolina rig my though was to use some form of mono leader. Or does the sinker get hung up if so why try like a lindy sinker?
Mike
Mike, I got your pm. Ill give you a call tonight if we are going to make it up there. I posted a pic of the one we got the other night. Talk to you later man.
Chris
Chris, where you been? How's the barge life treating you. Good to see you been hittin some cat's. Just got back from Destin tangled with a few Spanish and Kings and of course a mess a ocean cat's. I'll be back to my river this week and I look foward to my fresh water again. Chuck
Hey Chuck,
The barge life is going good. I just got my 200 ton captain license. I have to leave later tonight to go back to the boat. I will be back on the 21 July we should meet up. There are a few other people that would like to give them cats a try. I think Boat bum and I are going to go out and a few others. I will be checking this board while Im out on the barge. I posted some pics of some of the cats we caught.
Chris
Congrats on the skipper license. I wish you the best. During a tow, if you see a burgundy pontoon on the Ohio, give a blast, and I'll respond to confirm. Again, congrats on achieving a milestone, and best wishes for future success.
What line do you work with? I'll keep an eye out for you.
Always wanted to ask this, when on a push, are you allowed to troll planer boards? :-)
I work for ACL, we move alittle to fast to troll, but if we stop for lock delay or any other reason we can and do fish off the tugs. There are some nice fish caught off the back of the tugs.

Hey guys,
I have been work on some stuff. I talked to big cat to get my tackle lined out. He told me about some problems in fishing the river snags.
I'm thinking about using a spider wire type braid for my line but then coming off my swivel with mono to the hook. and mono to a drop sinker set up like a caroline rig putting a snap swivel on the sinker about 4-6 inchs of mono. this should let it break first before having to cut off my braid. has any one tryed this tactic.
