Re: Full Throttle Power Loss Questions
I appreciate all the responses guys. I tried the wax deal after it had already started it's downward spiral so I don't think that's it. If it were just the summer blahs it would be alright with me but this makes my 7th summer with the boat without ever having an issue. I think I'll check my prop assembly, try a new bulb, then go buy a new Optimax. Ha. Good night folks and thanks for the input.
Re: Full Throttle Power Loss Questions
Well once again it looks like I have been politically corrected so sorry jgevedon for the miss information though this is what was suggested I do from the ranger manufacture and I have gotten almost 5 mph per GPS by doing it but hey what do those guys know they only do it for a living.

A 5 MPH increase on a Ranger must have bumped it up from the pretty slow range to average speed range!!! LOL - just kidding. I was just passing on info from another site that focuses on bass boat performance. I personally have not seen the disadvantages to waxing the hull, nor an advantage of doing so. Don't shoot the messenger.
