prayed for the family...thanks to all who serve.
We are from a small town of 1,600 people and had a young man pay the ultimate price for our freedom. It was very touching to see all the people line the streets or go to the service in the school gym. We had bike riders show up with hundreds of flags. Our Lt Gov was here he has made every funeral of an IL soldier. It was a sad day for the town but a very proud day also. My prayers go out to this hero, his family and friends.
There are no words that can thank the man and his family for what he gave to us all. Our government will do a little for them but the money is not worth the price. By all means make sure that his family gets in contact with a Veterans service group, DAV, VFW, or anyone of the several that are out there. They will guide them through the maze of paper work in the next few months. For now prayers for their peace and healing are far to little to ask from me but I will gladly give them. We have a new generation of heros that the elections are forgeting about. We need to get these young people home and limit the number of deployments they have to serve. It seems our flag stays at half mast. I pray for this family and all of those who still serve in harms way.

Couldn't agree more with that statement. Sorry for the loss, prayers from my end.

Amen to that.
Thank you for your service & sacrifice Sgt. Cooper. My prayers go out to your family, friends and our fellow soldiers who give their all to fight for our freedom.
So many young people have died since 9-11. Nothing is free and I respect the families that have lost someone in this war on terror. God bless this man, family and all who serve, have served, and those who never made it back home to loved ones. May the good lord shine his face on all of them.
Prayers sent from the Chamness household.
