I'll have to disagree with that. Nolin is full of good fish. For the last two or three years there has been several 25lb+ bags taken our of Nolin. B&L won a tournamnent with 29lbs earlier this year.
Re: Toughest lake in Ky.....
Spurlington Lake south of Lebenon, Ky. Monsters on the fish finder. Been there dozens of times and caught one fish.:)
Re: Toughest lake in Ky.....
Got to be Carnico, but it's great for casting practice.

Re: Toughest lake in Ky.....
Hmmm toughest lake in Kentucky...
October 13-15 it will be Lake Barkley. From December through February, Cumberland. The last week in April, it will be Kentucky Lake.
I can also let you know in a week or two what the toughest lake is in Tennessee, but I haven't set the dates yet for my annual Norris trip.

Yep these lakes can be tough. I would have to say Taylorsville can stink it up pretty good as well. I know it comes down to knowing how to catch them and at times I'm lost.:)
Re: Toughest lake in Ky.....
i am surprised to see that laurel lake isnt on there...... I despise fishing laurel lake....i would rather fish in a swiming pool i mean i might have better luck anyways..... but who ever said cumberland in the winter months is tough hasn't been introduced to the FNF yet i dont guess... but by far Laurel is my toughest lake....

Re: Toughest lake in Ky.....
(TO JCB)
oh i kinda figured that.... i dont really feel that norris is a tough lake.... i know it used to be but norris is one of the lakes that i dont think is a lake people make long trips to come visit... like the dales and clands or even centerhill...i like fishing out of loyston point and runnning down and fishing the bear hole and in that area on norris... but u better be careful she is WAAAAAY down for this time of year...
Re: Toughest lake in Ky.....
Toughest lake has to be taylorsville! The only good thing about t-ville is that it collects water...other than that, useless!
Re: Toughest lake in Ky.....
Toughest lake in KY..........that is EASY........
Any LAKE..........ABSOLUTELY any lake that I'm fishing, planning on fishing, or recently fished, including KY, Dale, Barkely, Cumberland, etc, etc........
The list CONTINUES to grow.............
If I didn't STINK so bad, maybe I could catch a fish :) :)
Re: Toughest lake in Ky.....
Laurel is the toughest by far. So deep to many places to hide. When you have a average depth of 60 something feet its just to hard to get a bite. And the spots that are good got a ton of guys around it. I would say Laurel though.
