I know you love this and I would too if I were you. I'm old enough to know something that you are well aware of and that is watch what you ask for because sometimes you get it!
The shine will wear off, the real work will begin and if he does well I'll feel good just like you. If he tanks I'll feel good as well so I win either way.:) Enjoy the win!
Oh, now play nice. The conservatives are all in a tizzy over this. Their guy (though most conservatives on here did not like him in the primaries) lost. Their belly aching is their adult way of saying "I'm taking my ball and going home...". They had the last 8 years to do something for the country, but ended up putting it in the crapper. Time for something different. I figure on giving Obama a shot at turning things around. If he fails (I mean, it can't really get any worse than the current administration has done), I'll join Col Forbin on here in putting him down too.
Oh, and I really don't get all of the "everyone can be lazy and Obama will give them money" kind of crap. Say what you will about the guy, but he busted his butt to get where he is today. No rich/influental daddy like the current administration had to help him out on the way. I would think he would be the last person to want to help out a lazy bum. Heck, on NPR this evening thats the same message that folks were noting on there. Its time to work hard to get somewhere in life, the sky is now the limit.

Yeah let us belly ache some! That's all we heard for the last year from the Libs! Turn about is fair play!:p

You know, I really don't understand this kind of comment. You guys hate America so bad that you hope the president fails???? How unpatriotic is that? Once the election is over, I want whoever wins to succeed. When the president's policies fail, so do we.

A little belly aching is fine. Unfortunately some of the folks here take the hate a little too far. Kind of makes me wonder whether some of them don't have a closet man-crush on the guy :p

Now ain't that just a nice thing to say...* NOT * ...Let's see how your opinion of the man is in 4 years or even 1 year down the road once he takes office.... Bet your opinion will be changed and will be ready for * Change * again.......

Possibly so. Like I've said in several posts, I'll give the man a fair shot and judge him based on what he does. Did the same for Bush when he first took office. Can't say that I was a big supporter of ANY of the candidates. The election was sorta like watching your mother in law driving your truck over the edge of the grand canyon--I have mixed emotions about it....
A special thanks to those in this country that didn't listen to the fear mongering and all the other BS that came President Obamas way. We can soon move this country forward not backwards as it's been done for way to long.........
If you don't love this country even more now you can always leave........The people have spoken....................

Well, Larry, my Grandma always said, "A new broom sweeps good but you have to let it get a little wear before you can tell if it IS good." Time will tell.
That's one tired old stupid remark you used, "If you don't love this country even more now you can always leave." We is Americans and we can always move back into the woods and raise more little welfare young 'uns.

I am #4. Where did you get all your information from; talk TV, talk radio or the news papers. All 3 are really great, really reliable sources. By the way I have a bridge I would like to sell.
Re: A great day for our country
I must have been living under a rock for a while. When did we become a third world country that just overthrew the dictatorship? That's what it looked like to me late Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning. It shouldn't take a presidential election to generate that kind of optimism in this country. I had the same opportunities last week as I do today. Focus your eyes on the prize and then pursue it.
Re: A great day for our country
ANDREW, PL AND COL, I AGREE WITH YOU ALL. I WILL STAND BEHIND MY NEW PRES AND DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO MAKE THIS COUNTRY GREAT AGAIN. This was truly history in the making, and we all as a country should be proud of that. He has 4 yrs and give him a chance, we gave Bush a chance and he BLEW it. It is gonna take a while to straiting up this mess. And also terrosits are already living in OUR neighborhoods. So quit being sore losers, at least we won it fair and square, not unlike how BUSH won. PEACE TO ALL and have faith IT WILL GET BETTER YOU WILL SEE. Give the man a chance and work with him not against him.

Bobby,
I don't see why people not in agreement with the policies of the new Pres elect is a problem? Dont' put this guy on a pedestal he will fail if you do. I'm not calling you a liar or anyone else but when you Libs say you gave Bush a chance I doubt it. It's easy to say that now but I'll bet your paycheck that you griped about him during his first term, come on think about it.
Bashing Bush was wrong and I stand behind what I have said before history will prove he was one of the best with what he had to deal with. You Libs deny the basic facts that the state of the country isn't all his fault. In fact in a large part it is resting on the narrow mealing mouth Dems shoulders that led Fannie and Freddie to the pits with all the subprime lending. Why not talk about that? Look at the money we spent on that Dem ridden debacle!
Have your party and your fun, but don't get so carried away to not see that you Libs are getting what you dished out. Taste different now, huh?:)
