Thanks bass.......do you fish the falmouth area much?
Does anybody know anything about Bracken creek at augusta.....looks like there might be a couple miles of water there...
Yes, I fish the Falmouth area alot. Good smallmouth, drum, occasional sauger, few crappie and catfish. The south fork in this area is pretty good too. The airport ramp in Cynthiana is good too. Go north and fish the laydowns. Lair ramp is extremely shallow, you will need a small boat, aluminum to get in there. Good smallmouth below the ramp.
I have fished Bracken a few times over the past couple of years. Occasional bass on shallow structure. Not much for crappie. You can navigate a couple of miles back. There is a deep hole around the rr bridge. Be careful running your boat past the rr bridge, lots of big stumps back there and shallow here and there.

Thanks again Bass....i may fish either the area by the airport or the Robinson dam area this friday depending on what the weather does...you guys have been very helpfull and i hope i can return the favor in the next few months...now i just have to
give these places a try....am finding there are a lot of places to enjoy a fishing trip
within an hour or so driving time....the older i get the less "driving time" i am willing to
invest ..............thanks again...HLL
Robinson dam. To get there take 1032 off of 27. I believe it is the first road on the left, Stratton Road. Turn left go down the hill, you will come to a dead end by the river, turn right till you come to the bridge. Great fishing here. Good Crappie hole and good smallmouth and rock bass. If you go to the airport ramp, if I remember right the ramp is steep and at the ramp they have placed a frame of wire fence in there to keep you from dropping off the ramp. I always had better luck past the bridge fishing plastic worms. Good luck and let us know how you do.

i'm new to the board also. I like to put in at the maysville ramp. Cabin creek is a good spot in the fall. Another good spot on the river is a hot water discharge on the left side before you get to the creek. There's some nice white bass in the warm water.
Good luck
John
You do a lot better up and across the River from Agusta at White Oak Creek on the Ohio Side.
