YOu going to make it next weekend for the Big World Championship of the Float and Fly?
Jim D
Jim,
I would like nothing better than to fish next weekend but I will not be able to make it. I never thought I would be fishing this early anyways but my buddy Hens had last thur and fri plus the week of the 15th off and we had planned on fishing the Billy tourney this weekend and then the week of the 15th. Hens made plans for today plus I did not think I could survive 4 straight days of fishing or we would have stayed and fished the Billy this weekend. If I knew how well I feel now, we would have stayed and fished the Billy. Most likely my wife would divorce me and my 5 year old would dis-own me if I came down Friday night and stayed for the World Greatest plus all the following week as well with my Buddy. No dis-respect but I do wish it was sometime in January to give me some time home in between with the family but I can't control that plus never thought I would be fishing at all this winter the way it has looked since August. I do know of several that would be at the Worlds Greatest as well but they have already fished the Smalljaw tourney and are fishing the Billy this weekend and like me have families and can't make it next weekend. Rest assured I will be there in thought but sadly I will not be there in body. I do hope that you have a HUGE turnout and whomever is the most deserving catches the biggest and takes the title of the Worlds Greatest FNF Fisherman. My buddy Hens gave me a new nickname these past 2 days "Certifyable Floatnflyable". Whomever takes the title may have the title but if he like to float the fly more than me, he/she will be doing something.

Sounds like Billy scored quick and then sent in a play for the fish to go in a "prevent offense" so he could grind it out defensively.
A pitcher's dual if I ever saw one.
I would also like to challenge the ruling on the field that the drum doesn't count.

1-0 or 2-0 either way I lost to the Ky River Master. Billy knows that I only count Black Bass in my boat. No other creatures count even though that huge drum did stretch his string. Trust me as cold as it was and as cold as my hands and toes were I was wishing for a 6 inch drum to inhale my jig. It still would not have counted in my eyes but just to land something with 2 eyeballs and gills would have been nice. Billy landed a couple of stick fish that even made me jealous. He is the absolute best stick fisherman I ever seen.

That first stick I caught, if it were a DEER it would've scored 237....
I'll tell all you all one thing. It's a good thing Stoner was froze. The last time I fished on Stoner where it snowed like it did today....RangerMac and my self caught 49 fish with 6 limits.
BUt we will do it again. Would also like to get back over to Herrington and give it a whirl also....I remember me and a certain so and so hit it New Yrs Day a while back.
