Re: To all the "Jig Masters" out there!
i have ben making some jigs the past couple months. and cant wait to try them out. and the colors i have ben using are the colors i have confidence in. i have also mixed some of those colors together. and like others have said you can make a thick skirt, slim, long, short, it just depends on what the fish want. i think i will keep my skirts with me so i can adjust on the water. i just want to say thanks to the guys on here for helping me be able to make my own jigs. if not for people on here i would have gave up. i am glad i stuck with it saves alot of mony and you can make them just how you want them.

As long as it legal limit (legallimitlures.com) or D&L on it you'll be fine.
I can throw a jig with a color that's a little off but I cannot throw a jig that has a bad hook design or one that I think is bad so to me it's the hook. All aspects of a jig are important but if I had to choose one I would go with a D&L Baby Advantage. JMO
I agree with Don, But I like to trim the gaurd a little and sread it out some.

I like the recessed eye football heads. A bunch of different colors are not that important IMO. I usually get either black (with blue or brown) or some natural light brown color. If you see me out throwing one there is a 95% chance it'll have a paca on and 5% chance I ran out of pacas...:)

I agree with you, Legal Limit Lures makes some great jigs, and I have had some real good luck with his Cumberland Craw, and a special color Jeff makes me for Nolin.
