George ain't it about time you got back out there in the working world. You know the printing business is always needing at least one more good man.

couldnt fish Monday but in a Cumbeerland county hollow, behind the beagles, I found the above. none of this has a thing to do w/fishing except I had to hunt instead of fish this day..
inside was over 20 inches,,,, if it wasnt blue tongue then somebody lost the big one of a lifetime.
My 8lb smallmouth mount is now 20yrs old. I think it still looks as good as the day I picked it up !
I know 2 guys that caught 2 8lbers on Santee in 1979 and they gotem both mounted, thats the oldest i know
Here is a pic of the World Record Smallmouth, it has been retouched a couple of times, but you can tell it is still an old mount. Taxidermy work just wasn't as advanced as it is now back when this one was caught. Added a couple more, last one is me and David Hayes.

Also have a 7lb Largemouth, taken from Herrington Lake 1991 (Model 6A Bomber/Firetiger)
Both mounts were done by Gunner's Taxidermy (here in Lexington) and still look as good as they did from day one.
I've got a 6lb 11oz largehead and a 6lb 14oz largehead mounted. Both are from the early 80's that I mounted back when I was fresh out of High School, they both still look pretty good. Class of 80 in the house, lol.
and to think u caused a big ruckus over me mounting 2 brownfish.... i would have to have an over 7 lb largehead to put it on the wall..... and just so u know we went fnf on cland today and terry caught a 5.4 brownfish and we released it unharmed........
