bread and onion and take little strips of alum. foil and put in there with it. Minnows think some are in there feeding and will go in faster. I catch alot in mine for when I go catfishing by doing this. Works great. Biscuits actually work better than bread because it doesnt fall apart as fast.

I used wire cutters to make the entrance holes wider. The biggest Chubs that I catch are up to 6 or 8 inches. I try to hide the trap with creek rock, or set under a log. I usually catch more in the pools below ripples, and in light current next to deeper water.
