Being from Carrollton, we can be on the river in around 5 min. so thats where we mainly fish. Looking forward to fishing c-land this year for the first time. . . any advice on c-land?

yea we catch pretty good there in the spring but it is hit or miss with pea
body. there r so many pits some hold good numbers of quality fish some are dead! an lot of the land has been sold off. what helps me catching fish
i know the area well some of this pits i fish dont get much fishin preasure
or any. i have a good friend that turned me on to peabody hes been fishin peabody since the 70,s thats been a big help:)
All over the friggin' place! Local creeks, Red River (Gorge) and tributaries, Taylorsville, KY Lake, Licking River, probably Big Bone, and hopefully I'll get down around C-Land River some, maybe Rock Creek, I have a score to settle with that place. First and last (so far) time I went, there was an F-4 tornado that trapped us in, poor park rangers and fireman cut trees on that little gravel road all night cause they thought we where all dead. They told us the tornado had touched down a 1/4 mile from our camp site, apparently not killing us was the trade-off for blowing us off KY Lake and letting us drive all the way over to Rock Creek not to be able to fish there either. Good luck to us all.
Laurel, Wood Creek, Cumberland, Cherokee tn, and Weiss al. Those are my normal lakes each year.
Soon, the Ohio River and Licking River, Brookville lake, and East Fork lake, maybe Williamstown too. Heading to Watts Bar Lake in TN in Mid April. Can't wait.

one thing ive noticed with the pits is if they got grass theyre probably worth fishing, but if its all rock somethings wrong with the ph. The rocky pits have lots of green sunfish and green sunfish usually do best in ph's that other fish struggle in
