I'm sure there are still some wipers in there but the state has not stocked them for a number of yrs. They are stocking walleye now though.

I used to burn 4-5 lb wipers out there all the time. The shad population is outragoues I bowfish the east end up by 65.(BTW the latfatette rd bridge is GONE road is closed and they are putting in a new bridge.)Good white bass and smaller wipers up the creek if you can stand the run.I usually put in my canoe at us 50 and go up from there a mile or so when the water is up.Going there tomarrow aftenoon to take advantage of the lower water to crappie fish.some good channel/timber jig fishing going on now if you have the patience to drift it out.
went to eagle creek monday for a few hrs.a few small crappie in about 8 ft of water ran into one gut with about 20 a few decent ones but he had been out all day.
Any updates as to wether the water level is back to normal?

it'a back up and muddy as of 4-9 still that stupid $10 launch charge no matter what time of day you get there. The girl at the bait shop told me the old guy with the beard would'nt let a grandpa and his 7 yr old grandson go fish for 20 min before his basaball practice without charging them 3 bucks a piece. They need a half day rate.
I have a float tube. Do I have to pay a boat fee?
I'm not sure if float tubes are allowed on EC. (That doesn't mean you can't still use one.) I know the only official swimming/wading area is the swimming beach in the park area with the rest of the lake restricted. Here's the park phone number to call for more info: 317-327-7116
Okay thanks. I've been out a few times on mine at EC both in the park and over by rick's boatyard. So far no one has said anything to me about it.
How is it looking at Eagle Creek now? I hope the water's not up too high with this rain we've had recently.
went there thursday and the lower end was 51 deg and mUUUUUdddy the upper end was 54.5 and muuudy but their working on that bridge on 50 and churning up alot.Got 1 crappie and lost 1 wally all day.bowfishing won't start for a week or 2.
Went there over the weekend with my dad, and between the two of us caught 44 crappie. Probably 12-15 of them were keepers.
