i just threw up a little bit in my mouth.
WOW, just when u think u have it bad!!!!!!
Thats just stomach turning! ~ick~
That's the very reason I hate fishing with my father-in-law...I've had to many of his lures come flying back at me with his super-hook-set! :D Definetly a reason to wear your glasses! Poor guy.

Exactly my thought!
shew that makes me sick.... thats why i try and wear sunglasses as much as i can when i am fishing... and i will be the first one to let u know if u get to close to me fishing.... dad has a bad habit of tryin to side arm the fnf out of the back of the boat..... he has came close but i still gripe at him everytime...... i hate when u are fishing and u hear a spook or a jerkbait wiz past your ear or u feel the excess water hit you in the side of the head.... but that young man there in the pictures has had a life changing incident..... that even affected his hunting too......
A good example of why to wear sunglasses on the water, even if it is overcast.
Not just beware of your casting buddy but others as well: I was watching a fishing show last winter filmed at El Salto and the guy was throwing a 1oz spinnerbait when the fish that he was fighting got boatside, he reached down to lip him, out pops the spinnerbait with rod fully loaded up and hits him in the right eye. You see the lense to the glasses go flying in the air out in the water in slow motion. I ALWAYS seem to hook myself in some part of the body when I am throwing my big Zara Spooks, especially at night. I can't seem to wait until I feel the bite, I am reacting to the blow up and set the hook "just a bit, for those that know me" and right back at me with 6-9 hooks depending on the model. Good reason to wear glasses all the time
Oooooouuuuuccchhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any way to follow-up and see how that turned out? I went with the link but it did not say anything, just wondering if "modern medicine" can still cure stupidity (not necessarily his do I mean either). Dang that makes you think ehh???
omg that is crazy hope everything turns out good for him.
For some reason I don't think a cornea transplant would do him much good. That right there is ugly. Once I caught my twin's ear while we where fly fishing. He saw me casting and for some reason he thought it would be a good idea to approach me from the rear, I thought I had snagged a branch on the pines behind me, it wasn't very pretty but no where near as bad as that poor fellow.
