Re: You wanna save the gubment some money on healthcare.
Well stratos......That has nothing to do with what we're talking about.......
And why don't you post the ENTIRE THREAD.....because, I apologized after I did some more research......
Quite frankly, I don't give a RIP what you think.
I only hope that when the dust settles, I can still afford to PAY for the things that I like to enjoy.......
Currently, we work for about 100 days to PAY for government programs....programs that are bloated, broken, don't work, and cost TOO MUCH.......
If we keep this up.........we will be no better than a third world country.......but hey, maybe that is what the LIBS want.....We are certainly headed that way.....
Later,
Geo

Geo we finally came to an agreement on something I also don't give a rip about your opinion as well....have a wonderful day paying taxes I know I will at least I am still capable of it and above ground....:)
Re: You wanna save the gubment some money on healthcare.
"WHAT makes a government employee.......EVEN after you listed the things above.......which BTW, exist in every other job in the country........ANY BETTER than a private industry employee."
Didn't say govt employees were better than private sector folks. Both sides of the equation have the same quality people, govt folks come form the same population private sector folks do.
All I'm saying is just what you said.....you pick your own poison. Why doesn't the private sector give their employees the same health care the govt gives to there's? Cost obviously. Healthy folks take less time off, Uncle Sam knows that and takes care of his folks. Some private sector industries do a great job of this also. So like ya said, ya pick your own poison. If you select a company that screws you out of health benefits, feel free to vote with your feet, the same feet that took you there. But just cause someone made a bad choice and went to work where there benefits are not as good, don't try to take away the benefits those of us who have served earned.
Man, enjoy the dialogue, you got the right to your beliefs, you defend your benefits, cause I guarantee I'm gonna defend mine, and those who worked right beside me, past, present, and future.
Oh by the way, when was the last time you saw a Walmart employee sent to Iraq for a year? Have you ever seen a McDonald's employee getting a passport to go to Afghanistan? Got relatives who work for the IRS, carry guns and badges, and have seen less of their home in KY then they have motels in the other 50 states. Tell me kind sir, what KY cop can say the same? That does not make one better than the other, that means each has its own flavor of poison that goes with the good aspects of that profession, and each person gets to chose what he feels is best for his situation. But again, Don't try to take it away from one side, just cause the other side elects to work without it. You and I can't level that playing field, different jobs, different demands, different compensations and different benefits.
Let's agree to one thing......neither you nor I got all the answers, and neither one of us ought be making sweeping generalitites stated as facts. By its fun for sake of argument.
Re: You wanna save the gubment some money on healthcare.
Why do you agree a vet who works for the fed deserves benfits, when the civil servant in you opinion does not? Do you think a Marine Corps Lawyer saw more combat than a civil servant attorney? You are aware a person can be a vet, and never have seen a bullet shot at them in their entire career....right. You just got to serve during that period of conflict.
