Re: some details on health care bill
No it is not been debated yet. But, why waist the time. We can't afford it working people don't want it at least the ones I have talked to. This bill is just like the stimulus package. It sounds great but after all it did not work. This bill sounds great but, when you look at the cost we can't afford it.
Politicians need to learn to spend less than what they take from us. Look what giving free education and health care has done for California. Ryan.
You ever hear of public education and K-CHIP in Kentucky? I wasnt aware that California had free health care but send me a link to something if I am wrong. It wont be the first time I was wrong.:)
Re: some details on health care bill
They are just like KY they won't turn people away that are in need. They have so many illegals that are not paying taxes it drained the system.

Arent you so glad you live in a great state that wont turn you away if you become ill and cant pay for health care? In reality KY will turn you away and CA will also. The illegals are not all the problem. Its diabedes, high blood pressure, overweight people, tobacco and alcohol use and I could go on for 10 pages. I will let this one go cause my blood pressure is getting elevated and I wouldnt want to impose any of you.:)
Re: some details on health care bill
So glade you are letting it go I was getting scared. So scared I almost forgot about the 12 hour day I have to work tomorrow and the 16 hour day on Sunday. Because the tax and spend liberals make it harder and harder for me to make it each month.
Hang out at University on a Friday and Saturday and see how many drug dealers come in with a gun shot or stab wound with out insurance, none of them. They put them selves in that situation. But I have to pay. To fix them up an then I have to pay when they get convicted and sent to prison and then I have to pay to help raise their kids because they can't sling dope in prison.
I have no idea what you do and don't really care but go talk to someone who has come into this country the correct way from a third world country and ask them about the American poor. They will laugh you down the street. Because I talk to them everyday. Ryan.

WASHINGTON – Someone has finally fixed an approximate taxpayer cost of between 12 million and 15 million illegal aliens residing in the U.S.
A new study by the Heritage Foundation's Robert Rector found a household headed by an individual without a high school education, including about two-thirds of illegal aliens, costs U.S. taxpayers more than $32,000 in federal, state and local benefits. That same family contributes an average of $9,000 a year in taxes, resulting in a net tax burden of $22,449 each year.
Over the course of the household's lifetime that tax burden translates to $1.1 million.
If the lower figure of 12 million illegal aliens is used for estimation purposes, the total tax burden translates to $2.2 trillion.
"Would any of us buy shares in a company that we knew would produce a loss of a million dollars a share," asks Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, in response to the study. "Cheap labor is not cheap at the cost of over a million dollars per head of household."
Rector's study, "The Fiscal Cost of Low-Skill Households to the U.S. Taxpayer," examines the economics of the 17.7 million American households made up of people without a high-school degree. Using numbers from the Census Bureau, the Congressional Research Service, the Bureau of Labor Standards and other government agencies, Rector determined what they earn, what they spend and what they receive in government services.
About half of the 17.7 million households studied are illegal aliens. About two-thirds of illegal alien households are headed by someone without a high school degree. Only 10 percent of native-born Americans fit into that category.
"Over the next ten years the total cost of low-skill households to the taxpayer (immediate benefits minus taxes paid) is likely to be at least $3.9 trillion," Rector writes. "This number would go up significantly if changes in immigration policy lead to substantial increases in the number of low-skill immigrants entering the country and receiving services."

I dont know how we got to discussing illegals but I am pretty knowledgeable about this subject IMO. So here goes my opinion, I believe every person in this world was created equal, none better none worse. I can tell you if I were making say 15$ a day and I could cross a border and make 50$ a day I would cross the border so I could provide for my family. That is all they are doing, and most but not all are doing farm labor, a job not many legals are doing anyway. This country has bought into the idea that you go to college and be all you can be, nothin wrong with that and a good idea to me. The problem is nobody wants to work for minimum wages and really cant except for the illegals. As for the drug dealers, every society in the world has them and IMO they have good in their heart but it just doesnt show. I would rather see them treated for an injury they have than discard them to the curb to die. If you prove to me that a drug dealer cant be rehabilitated ill eat boiled okra. If you can prove to me that an illegal alien in this country dont have the chance you do to reach paradise, I will quit wasting my time every wednesday and sunday. :) I bet if we went fishing we wouldnt be short on conservation.
Re: some details on health care bill
Why can't they enter the contry legally? If you look at the recidivism rates very very very few are rehabilitated.

The key word is ILLEGAL,that said there is nothing wrong with legal immigration, but I'm glad that in a financial crises for many of us,you find it okay to force my family to do without while footing the bill for MILLIONS of ILLEGALS in this country.
Please donot even try to lecture me on what jobs illegals do,being in consttruction I have hired in prior years some legal and some illegal who used false documentation,I am friends with several Mexicans and a couple guys from Honduras and Guatemala.I have seen there network of obtaining fake or stolen ID's and documents,I have seen how they become Americanized and abuse our system as much as possible,I have seen how they father children and let me and you pay for them,I have seen many take the better paying jobs and get promotions and still be working while I am laid off because of Quota Minority Numbers that some Govt and State joobs require,I have also saw the seedy side of these people that steal from jobs and sell the stuff in Mexico, they have vast networks of where to do anything, then there is also the drugs pouring into our country, the possibility of terrorists crossing easily, and the biggest kicker, the HUGE cost of Schooling,Healthcare, and imprisoning those who get caught in crime.Funny most don't even want to be a US Citizen, they want our handouts and jobs ,but want to wave a Mexican Flag.
I'm glad you and the Libs are so free to give away my money.
Re: some details on health care bill
By the way, don't know where the drug thing came from, but I work with recovering Alcoholics/Addicts regularly and while I would love to see all recover/rehabilitate.The true fact is that only about 1 in 10 does.
Re: some details on health care bill
Here is a question for those who think Socialized Healthcare is such a grand thing. Why is it that the Senators and Congressmen don't want this plan for themselves? Kinda makes you go HHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!
