All the Battles were fought on Union Soil. The confederates just didn't realize it. It was federal/union when the war started, and it was federal union when it ended. :)
KYFANATIC, I wish I had had that website before I made my stupid statement that thee were only two battles fought on Union soil. It didn't take long to do an "oooppppsss" and now I see that there were many more than I had ever thought. Thanks for a great website.

Never been there, but I'd like to go.
I recently read a book on the battle of Gettysburg called "The Killer Angels".
It was fiction, but historical fiction and seemed pretty realistic. It won the Pulitzer prize many years ago.
