Skeeter, the entry fee is $50. $5 of that goes to big bass and $5 goes to ramp fee. (they always have hot dogs or brats for us at the weighin) and $5 is held back for our classic. The payoff is on $35 per boat. You can fish alone or with a partner. The beauty part of Angel Mounds is you can go down river, up river and lock thru or go up the green. If you want to lock thru at Newburgh and haven't done it before I can assure you there will be boats locking thru. You can observe how it's done. If you live in Newburgh and not fishing the river your missing out on a lot of fun. The bass are smaller but they are there. The key is to find the spots. Send me your email address and I'll put you on our mailing list so you can be up to date.
Forgot your main question. Yes the tournament is this Sat. Sept 26 at Angel Mounds. Takeoff will be 6:30 or safelight.
I would like to fish this , but I know NOTHING about river fishing , or that river in general. I wouldnt feel safe out there. I also have plans for this weekend.
So what kind of weight won the tournament this Sat.?
Never mind just got the results emailed to me.
Thanks. I also went out saturday afternoon with my dad, brother and niece. Thought we would try some stripper fishing in the middle of the afternoon. No Luck.
I did catch 1 sauger under a log 100ft from the angle mounds boat ramp though. Let my neice reel it it. She thought it was cool.
