Re: KY Lake Boat Ramp Question
I think I was you guys in Rhodes yesterday morning.......Crazy COLD guy in bright red IU jacket :) :) .
We stayed there in Rhodes until noon or so, then fished Duncan and Sugar some more.......finally left around 2:00pm to head home......looks like we left too early......DANG.
Dave, have the big fish been back there this year.....I've been down every other week since the middle of september, and I don't think we've found any monsters shallow yet.
I'm tennatively planning a trip for the end of the month and maybe the first weekend in November, but I'm just not too sure.
Thanks,
Geo.
I have had some big fish (5lbs plus) back shallow but have not gotten into any schools of them. Most of the schooling fish I have gotten into are either short fish or just over keeper size. The fish were just starting to school good when this nasty front came in...they were hitting topwater much better last week. I thought that was you in Rhodes...we only stayed there a little while...we had a couple of topwater fish there. The bite this morning was good....we had over a limit of keepers in the first 45 minutes...the bite slowed considerably in late morning. Was only on a 5 hour trip so will miss the afternoon bite today.

Re: KY Lake Boat Ramp Question
When it is tough you gotta makem bite. Upsize one rod to a big trap like an Xr75 One Knocker, and downsize one rod with a small trap like a 1/4oz Spro in ole glory color and just fire that trap like Nolan Ryan would. They can't stand it, when you get one to bite the school usually will follow and you get several real fast. Attack until they hack!

WE caught very few fish, but did manage a few keepers today.
