Re: Really Upset With Cedar
Although known for big fish, I would rather fish in a mud puddle -- and Cedar is only 15min from my house:eek:. I used to love that lake, but I have to take the stance that everyone else in this post is taking: the pressure makes it an absolute dump. I used to try and go every chance when my father-in-law was willing to go but now I would rather sit at home, fish farm ponds, or fish elsewhere. To me, the money put in for the extra gas, mileage, and time is well worth not having to deal with Cedar Creek and the ignorance that takes place there.
I know it goes on everywhere, but I would rather be on a big lake where it might not happen right in front of you........How can you get a piece of mind and/or relaxation when you have to worry about people cutting you off or hounding you when you catch fish?
Re: Really Upset With Cedar
I agree to all of the above posts. Lets start a boycott Cedar campaign. Everyone reading this please stay away from Cedar. I'll do my part and continue to go, only to police the lake and keep people from putting in at the ramps. I'll cover the middle ramp, and I'll need two volunteers for the others. :)
Re: Really Upset With Cedar
Hate to hear you guys bad times over there, but that DOES open a couple more parking spots. To me fishing is relaxing, so I try to just go with the flow. I view it like dating (as a teenage), get rejected once and stay home the rest of your life watching the other guys have all the fun? Heck no baby- I'M IN!!!!!!!!!!!

You do make a good point. Im not completely done with cedar and i will go back. I love just being out there relaxing too, but a fish every now and then does make it nice.
Re: Really Upset With Cedar
The fish are definitely in there. I just don't want the hassle of 250 boats on a small lake to deal with. Like I said earlier, I would rather fish a big lake where getting cut off and boats hounding you once you start catching them won't occur right in front of you.
Re: Really Upset With Cedar
My friends in Lex keep telling me how great Cedar is but the crowd's ruin it for me. They left way too much crap in that lake and it limits spots fisherman can try when 250 boats are on the water. Every bank near a river channel has 4 boats fishing a 100yards of space.
