It's also the main issue your ultra liberal California Dimocrat heroes rely on for votes. When you get right down to it, it's a fairly simple issue, it's about whether it's right or wrong to kill unborn babies. Would you be for your wife or daughter getting an abortion? Just curious.
I'm pretty moderate on the issue myself. I don't support going back to pre Roe/Wade days, but I danged sure don't want my tax dollars paying for abortion either.
Far as Repubs relying on my vote, they better be touting smaller government and lower taxes or I'm against them.

DH, I am against any form of abortion for the record! I can see clearly that its an issue the elected republicans hold dearly. All im saying it thats their stronghold for the religous community and if they overturn it they lose their biggest community base( noting to stand against ). What will they stand for? And yes I am an active participant in my church.;)

I will tell you this.........I will vote for ANYONE running against the Obamunists, but I will NOT throw away my vote, or SPLIT the ticket, like I did in 1992.
A 3rd party candidate will NEVER be viable.......at least not under our current Electoral College.....

And here is why I say so:
What happens if no presidential candidate gets 270 electoral votes?
If no candidate receives a majority of electoral votes, the House of Representatives elects the President from the 3 Presidential candidates who received the most electoral votes. Each State delegation has one vote. The Senate would elect the Vice President from the 2 Vice Presidential candidates with the most electoral votes. Each Senator would cast one vote for Vice President. If the House of Representatives fails to elect a President by Inauguration Day, the Vice-President Elect serves as acting President until the deadlock is resolved in the House.

Also Tom, if you seen the thread about me being a silverback, well make your own judgement.;) 2nd PM sent.;)
Re: Betcha didnt think this possible repubs!
I did not call slippedcork a Silverback, he just twists everything to make him look like a victim.
The answer to slippedcork question about me being fascinated with him was "Fascinated with you? Only if you are a Silverback."
I wish to heck he was a Silverback, at least he would be occupied with something to keep him busy and hopefully make a friend.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miami_Valley_Silverbacks This is a Professional Indoor Football Team that I happen to like.
Tom, I've just read on this thread of another conflict that someone is trying to stir up. BEWARE.

I'll try to make my point again so you can see it clearly as well. It's an issue elected Dims hold just as dearly, if not more so than Republicans. An absolutely huge part of the Dimocrat base are women who want to keep abortion in all forms legal. NOW uses polite terms like "women's reproductive health" instead of abortion or baby killing, but basically it means the same thing.
President Obama is the most liberal president on abortion of all time. Long as the baby isn't crowning he's all for killing it no questions asked. Birth control? Okay by him. Killing late term perfectly viable fetuses? Fine by the President. It's to the point now parents aren't even allowed to be notified before an under aged girl has her baby killed.
Mr. Obama even said during his campaign if his daughter made a "mistake" she "shouldn't be punished with a baby". That's a direct quote from your hero...so say an extra prayer for him next time you're in church.
BTW, what's your church participation have to do with anything? Feeling guilty?

Ill address your last sentence. I figgered whatever I said we would end up on the church topic so now we know where I stand. Im not feeling guilty the least bit. You tell me how Bush worked or any other president to overturn roe v wade. Its easy to blame, hard to solve. Get me a president capable of reversing this decision and they got my vote!;) Aint gonna happen though cause the supreme court decides. The mighty consertative justices can keep your guns you love but wont touch abortion. Why is that?

If you just recieved a nice increase in your wages then you're one of a very VERY few people I know of that's seeing an increase in wages or bonus checks or anything else...Just curious, do you work for the government? It sounds like something the government would do, hand out raises in rough times.
