Re: Todays the day!
Call me insensitive, selfish, arrogant or what ever but I DON'T CARE about the 15 million who don't have healthcare as described by these fools. I don't care even just a little bit. Judge me as a jerk if you will but when I go to work and agonize at times over construction deadlines, my healthcare bills, my family and their bills, my daughter and her private school bills, my mortgage and personal life do I ever wish the gubment would help me? Nope!
I'm sick and tired of anyone thinking I should care about slack, low rent, illegals, welfare taking or gubment assistance abusing folks. When do the law abiding, American way system following folks get a break? All we get is you gotta pay for this group of people, you can't think bad about this group, just grin and bear it we are the richest people in the world, you got more to give. It's getting old....sad part is that people in this country are buying into it if their political party backs the idea.
It's a game and who actually wins???

Re: Todays the day!
Don, you and I need to spend a little time together in a bass boat, then followed up by several, several cold Miller Lites just before we hit the Wordford.
I find it funny we keep feeding and housing those who don't want to work. I'm not talking about the people who have fallen on hard times and need a little help so they can get back on their feet. How can you spot these people just look for the people who have several generations on assistance and never had a job.

Re: Todays the day!
Just curious. Slippedcork are you a buisness owner, do you have employees, and if so do you pay for their healthcare?

I'll go along with you and Don on this one. This is how I feel.
If you start feeding wild animals pretty soon they stop hunting for food and look for you to feed them always.
Some people can be the same way.

Greenriverman you are more than welcome, the more the merrier. When are you all ready? That is a good point about the wild animals.

Re: Todays the day!
So we are covering everyone now. Wow I never heard that one. It will cost 2 or three times what they will say it will cost also. They all lie. I can't wait to go to jail on this one. Pelosi said as much when asked if people will go to jail if they don't get on board. I hope everyone will respond accordingly. We are still free aren't we? I guess we need to be like the good communists out there that are so compassionate that they take care of everyone. Wow what a concept. Freedom, what freedom. You don't need no stinkin freedom, the government will take care of you. I choose(while I still can) to put my faith in the one who said He would supply my needs and it isn't the government. How is that abortion thing treating you now. Governments idea of forced charity. No thanks.

I cant argue your point, theyre will always be someone abusing any program. I try and see the overall picture and alot of people in this country need help. We are afterall the richest nation on the planet and I think igroring the poor isnt an option. If you think everyone who has a job has healthcare you are mistaken. Wal-Mart is an excellent example, they make Billions and offer healthcare but to get it you pretty much work for free. There is too much greed in this country and if healthcare is not overhauled pretty soon their wont be a middle class, just the super rich and the super poor.

Re: Todays the day!
I did not read your new Healthcare plan so I am in the dark so I wont comment on that. I will say that a new plan must be clear that you DO NOT provide free healthcare to illegals. That is a big No No. Up here, if you arent a Canadian citizen you dont get free healthcare and thats that. If the illegal doesnt like that then they are free to return to their country of origin. I think your country wastes too much money on illegals. If you give them work and free healthcare then they are never going to want to leave. I have heard that is the reason for the problems with the mexicans. Obama really needs to be firm on that point. Just my 2 cents folks.:)

Re: Todays the day!
Hey, slipcork if you keep taxing he middle class you won't have them either. BO is like Robin Hood, he steals from the middle class and gives to the for the most part don't want to work.
