AAAAH Yes. Spring fishing. It can't get her fast enough. I've already had enough of old man winter. Like you guys said, I can't wait to get out the brush hogs and spinnerbaits and hit barren river.

I tend to concentrate on bluffs during the spring when I fish after cold fronts. Which seems to always happen when I have a tournament!!!!! 55 The day before and then a sever cold front comes in and temp drops 25 degrees. Depending on what time of the spring you go depends on where I would fish. If it is early, pre-spawn i would target the bluffs leading into the creeks or spawning bays. If you are fishing bluffs after the spawn i would target the bluffs on the opposite side of the spawning bay/flat. You have to listen to what the fish are telling you. Why would they be on a bluff that particular day??? If it is 20 degrees colder than it was the previous day and you find them on bluffs, they are probably there because its warmer. I found the best way to cover bluffs is to parallel them. Like mhall said, I usually go to bluffs when I am struggling (so I am there alot!!! HAHAHA) But you can generally catch fish on them, and sometimes some nice Smallmouth at Barren.
