Re: Texting
I text but not very often...the last time I used it was this morning while driving to work...ok...I wasn't driving, but I was in the drivers seat of a motor vehicle that had the keys in the ignition and the motor was running (at a red light). My text was to a co-worker and I texted him the following message: "Stay off 65 North".

Re: Texting
I love the fact that I can text a pic and get it to someone pretty quick. I actually used that recently at the auto parts store...I wasn't sure what part matched with what we had some of already so I snapped a pic texted it got the reply I needed to insure I was buying the right part.
We use the feature at work as well. Have had men on site who needed to document some ceiling tile damage done by others as they were still working around the area. Pic was texted to me and forwarded to the G.C. who was trying to lay it on us.
So it can work as a useful tool....but it's alot of fun to play with.:)
BTW...I am talking about my phone.:p

Re: Texting
I probably send and receive about 10 texts per day. It's difficult to get my wife on the phone at her office, so I usually send her a couple of messages a day if I need to tell her something.
I also usually text my brother a couple of times per week to plan our next fishing trip.
As someone said, it's easier than getting in a long conversation.

Re: Texting
Sometimes you will have enough of a signal to send/receive a text but not to make a phone call. Something to consider if you live in the sticks.
I will never text and drive...it is dangerous, and also makes it too hard to hold your beer.
I must agree with the above statement, however I only text people that really DO NOT wish to talk to. These people include ex wife and other chicks I'm not all that interested in.
Man code states that a male should never text another male unless they are sending nudy pics:eek: or something with a picture in it like a fish.
