I'm surprised no one is talking about COUSINS punching a FAN out......

The story is growing some legs. I don't know what happened, but is looking more and more like some type of incident took place.

I still say that IF something took place UK or Cousins should sue the pants off of that University for allowing it to happen. I bet they would stop that if the University who is supposed to follow the SEC rule gets more than a 25K fine. Heck make it $500k and this is for all schools who can't control their fans.

It's just not right to have rabid fans in the face of a team that just lost. They know it that's why the weak rule is there. Just make it a serious rule infraction and watch this stuff go away. Heck pull the win from their record.

It's like any other sport...Nascar, NBA, NFL, MLB if fans are not held back more people would get hurt.

If it really had merit, Jerry Tipton would be on it like a bum on a bologna sandwich. That video shows nothing. I read one article that said Cousins threw 2 uppercuts...LOL!!He'd have to be laying down to do that.

This was in today's C-J. I don't know what happened, but let me state the credibility of the author so that you do not think this is some type of slam piece.

Brett Dawson (UK beat writer for the C-J) is a friend of mine. We both grew up in Shepherdsville and both became sports writers. Brett was always a UK fan, has his degree in Journalism from UK, was sports editor for the student newspaper the Kentucky Kernel while he was there. His first job as a sports writer after getting his degree was as a writer for the Cat's Pause. He is now the UK beat writer for the C-J and doesn't let his heart get in the way of his job.

Secondly, Billy, you and your friends at work should stop laughing. I don't know what happened (if anything did) but you are so wrong about throwing uppercuts. As someone who spent 16 years in a boxing ring, including nine as a pro, I can assure you that if you have a height advantage, uppercuts are the way to go. You are coming up without having to move much. As a taller fighter you can generate power without telegraphing your shot.

All that being said, I doubt Cousin's knows anything about throwing an uppercut. Now if you would have said he gave him a forearm shiver, I would believe it LOL!

Heck he should have grabbed the back of his neck with a Muay Thai Clinch and fed him a knee. The guy would really know something hit him then.

If Cousins HIT anybody in the face Two times. Some sort of injury would of occured. If this kid is the THUG some of you say he is he would already be in jail. Give me a break with some of this CRAPP. I called Cousins a thug before, I based it on actions that I have seen (the Louisville game) and what was public record (him assaulting an assistan coach and getting kicked off his high school team). All that being said, not sure if this incident has much merit. I would also be willing to bet that I could take two punches from Cousins without being injured and I am 5'8 175. I have been hit by bigger and stronger and can prove it.

Not every person walking is a ex pro boxer. Average person would more than likely be in trouble.

I have to agree with Mark, nothing on any of the stations I watch and not a mention on ESPN and I've been on there all night.

Fishin350, sorry. That come across as arrogant and cocky and I didn't mean it to be that way. What I was trying to say (and did a poor job of it) is when the juice is pouring (rushing the court after a big win) even the average person could take a hard shot to the chops and still be okay. You would be surprised at what you can take when it happens. I really did not mean for that to come across the way it did, but the 'puter sometimes doesn't exactly express thing the way you want. All that being said, I do not like Cousin's, I think he is a thug (based on past behavior), but I think this story here is nothing.
