Re: Saturday is a sad day
Actually Mark, Griff was the first one to do a 360 in a game. The difference is that Poncho was the first person to do one in two different games and on two different networks. Poncho was a character. When they were going to Indy of rht Final Four in 1980, he came up with the "The Ville in Naptown" slogan. He had the rainbow jumper. I have never seen anyone put that much arch on a ball.
A little Griff info. A basketball show did a list of the top 10 dunkers in the history of college basketball. Griff was No. 1, ahead of Jordan, Wilkins etc. It is on the internet some where. I will see if I can find it and post a link later.
Just researched it and you are right it was Griff. My bad. I thought Poncho was... He did put some arch on that ball, a serious rain maker.
Re: Saturday is a sad day
Well i hope you U of L fans have a great time, but I am afraid the win your dreaming of will be non-existant.
Cuse has a big time payback coming for the Cards and it's going to be ugly.
This U of L team acts like it's a grade school team at times.....They need a Captain on this team in a big way, but none are to be seen anytime soon.....Enjoy the NIT and a few more games in the Hall.....

Hey Mills I gotta a hundred dollar bill say's they go to the dance, put your money where your mouth is. Whatcha think..I'll man up if I loose the bet to, you seem awful confident shouldn't be a problem for ya. All bracketology has Louisville in regardless of the outcome Saturday, but of course you know way more than they do with your extensive basketball knowledge, LMAO.
Re: Saturday is a sad day
U of L is no where near the bubble. ...
Re: Saturday is a sad day
Yea...the ABA was cool, especially with the red, white and blue ball. I remember watching the Colonels play on television this one time...(for some reason this bit of useless information has stuck in my mind all these years, lol), anyway, I remember the Colonels stole the ball, passed to Gilmore and what the announcer said has always stuck in my mind: "Gilmore, down the lane, HE'S GONNA TEAR THE HOUSE DOWN!!!!!" RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

ChickenSh. Talk it but don't walk it, way to go Mills.
By the way have you ever considered channeling all that hate into something positive??
Re: Saturday is a sad day
Not hate'n on U of L at all just saying it how it looks is all..... But if by chance U of L makes it to the Big Dance, then it's all cause of the love the ones who do the selections have got their heads up Pitino's arse......
Honestly you guys actually think U of L deserves to go to the Big dance with the record they have asnd the Loss's they have suffered and so many 20 plus mud stompings at that....lol

Clyde seriously do you actually keep up with basketball??? Here's what the committee looks at.
RPI
SOS
Strength of Conference, by the way the Big East is by far the best in the Nation ask any of the experts and see if it isn't so.
Number of wins in said conference, see above.
They are saying it's possible 9 teams from the Big East may go dancing,at least 8 is what most are saying including Joe Denardi (spelling).
They even look at your past few years in or out of the tournament. By the way just to refresh your memory Louisville was Elite Eight the last two years. And if MY memory serves me right you predicted them as a one and done last year didn't you?????
If Syracuse wins tomorrow and Louisville doesn't win at least one game in the BE tourney no they probably won't go to the show. But a loss tomorrow and one win in BE tourney will get them there or a win against Cuse tomorrow will get them there.
Sorry Clyde but having a winning record in the toughest conference in America does have it's privledges, hate to burst your bubble.
Unlike that conference your guys play in that has three good teams and bunch of teams named Harry.
Re: Saturday is a sad day
It depends on who they would play in that first round game. I don't know the format of the Big East tourney or even the current seedings but if they are playing a ham'n'egger (Rutgers, Depaul, St.John's, even USF) a win won't help their profile much. A loss would be devastating though. That second round game might be the key. Assuming they lose to Syracuse. 2 wins against the number 1 team in the nation and it's a lock.
Re: Saturday is a sad day
Sorry Clyde, there are in. Do you even know how the selection comittee works Clyde? Do you know what the RPI is? Do you know how strength of Schedule works? Do you understand about wins against top 50 rpi works?
Mark, do not take advantage of Clyde, you know if he makes a sports prediction it is going to be wrong and history has shown us this time and again!
Speaking of NIT can IU make it there? Oh that's right, you have to have a .500 record to play. Must **** cheering for a high school team coached by Harry Potter!
