Re: Quit smoking and get a new boat!
We both quit cold turkey. Like I said, it was complete hell for a few weeks. Not exactly the way a new marriage should start, but we're both good now. I gained about 15lbs because I started eating more, but I combat that with going to the gym about 3 times a week and run a mile and a half every other day.
My wife's father quit with some medication and had great luck with it, although he did claim to have weird dreams while he was taking the meds.
Bob, good luck to you and your wife. You can do it!
Thanks man, all BS aside. Thanks!
Re: Quit smoking and get a new boat!
Hey...if I quit....does that mean I can't lust after SMOKIN hot babes?
Re: Quit smoking and get a new boat!
Yes you can BOB as it is better for you than smoking.:D Whatever reason you decide to quit is good. I quit cold turkey. Killed me the first month but got easier. Years go by and I dont crave it at all anymore. You and your wife can beat it together. I quit even when my X was still smoking. WHen its your time to quit you can do it. Good luck with that and congratulations on the new boat and all the money you will have once you quit.:)
Re: Quit smoking and get a new boat!
Bob I wish you well. I'm hooked for life. Tried chantrix, it worked for a while. tried cold turkey, lasted a week. after my first heart attack I quit fora month. all was going well at that time. BUT my wife at that time was partially paralized from a stroke, and I needed to light her cigarettes for her, finally I inhaled. My second wife and I both quit smoking in our house, thjen we decided to quit, was working well for us, till she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, so we started again. My cousin quit cold turkey, smoke free for six years, hit a jack pot in nevada, celebrated with a pack of pall malls.I have gone fishing with guys who dont smoke, so I wont. at times i leave them in the truck when I go alone. My brother was in a car accident, he was in intensive care for two months, died three times, he's a twp pack a day guy now. My aunt died in a nursing home, 99 yrs old, half a pack a day. My mom, 86 with alzimers, pack a day, till she died.ALL of them tried multiple times, I'm going to give it another shot. But after 60 yrs of puffing, I know the odds are against me. But keep trying Bob, wish you succede.
