Re: gardening
I can't wait to get them maters in the ground! I'll also be planting a couple bell pepper plants, a few different herbs (only the legal kind :)), and I think I'm going to try and grow some spinach this year. And my garlic, planted last November, shot up at least an inch or so in just the past week!

what'd life be without homegrown tomatoes?
There's only two things that money can't buy,
and that's true love and homegrown tomatoes."

Re: gardening
I'm trying something different this year. Growing taters in a box. I started 2 boxes that should give me 'bout 200 lb of taters. We put up 175 qts of tomatoes and 75 qts. of green beans last summer. I also made 35 pounds of sauerkraut and 120 qts of pickles. My beets didn't do good last year but I'll double up on them this year. I make my own hot sauce too, so I'll be puting in some tabasco peppers. I'm also gonna brine pickle my pickles this year.

Re: gardening
I'm trying something I've never done. Is there anything special to growing Turnips. I like em' and my Wife likes them. The kids have never tried them before. Any tips would be great.
