Hey TracyR where is this place, what's the name of it?[QUOTE=TraceyR;409773][QUOTE=Quailtail;409603]Trying to plan a crappie trip to KY Lake next week. Need accomodations at reasonable rates, close to lake. Never crappie fished KY before so we will be shooting in the dark.

Re: KY Lake-First Time- Accomodations
This is an apt in my garage on my private property. I am on the south side Little Bear Creek and north of The Moors. I have a dock, but it is getting a new deck put on it and should be finished in a week. This place is off of Steamboat Rd in Gilbertsville. I will have openings starting the 2nd week of May
Re: KY Lake-First Time- Accomodations
We just got back from KY Lake and stayed in Murray at the Holiday Inn. It was clean and about $70/night. This way we are about the same distance from Blood River and Jonathan Creek. Only takes about 15 minutes to get to the ramp.

Can you e-mail me your number and directions? Hope to take at least 3 trips down later this year and would love to have someplace other than a motel to stay. rdkeen48@yahoo

Re: KY Lake-First Time- Accomodations
We go down there every year. We stay at Irvin Cobb resort on Blood river, but is usually booked up a year in advance. We usually have 3 boats and six guys so it comes out costing us about $150/person for 7 days. Nice cabins for being old, the ramp blows, and at winter pool only half the slips are usable. Start out every day fishing teh point directly across from teh ramp...

Also look for paradise resort...they are in a cove on the main lake halfway between blood river and kenlake...nicer cabins and much nicer slips...
