The only reason a person would filet a 10 lb bass would be if the fish died. Better to eat it than throw it in the dumpster, in my opinion.
Hmm.............I would think a person's reasoning behind filleting any fish would be dinner. Is that not okay? I personally would turn'em loose, but wouldn't care if someone ate the fish they caught.
