Looks like another surgery for Elnut...

I spent all day in Uk today. Bleeding out my feeding tube hole in my stomache. Bleeding pretty badly. changed bandages from 10pm last night all thru the night, took them with me to show the doctor this morning and this ER idiot doctor pretty much says nothing is wrong. I point out that I have had this tube in for 11 months and it has NEVER bled before but to no avail. Tells me if it keeps bleeding or gets worse to come back, I tell him to fix it now or find someone that can fix it and I won't have to come back. Sat there all day long for 10 hours, saw 5 different doctors and none of them had the stones to make a decision. My surgeon was not in the hospital today and basically my medical past scares the stethescopes off the rest of the medical community. Sends me home around 4pm, at 6 pm I change my bandage around my feeding tube again and there is DOUBLE the amount of blood on this one than the prior 20 hours. I call UK and get the same idiot doctor. He tells me to wait until Wed to see my surgeon. So I guess since no imiging was done, they never looked inside to see where the blood is coming from, they hope I don't bleed to death by Wednesday so my surgeon can use his excessive stones to make a decision. FRUSTRATION is not the WORD, I HATE HOSPITALS and ESPECIALLY UK HOSPITAL!!!!!!

I am so sorry for you Elnut. It sounds like you are all alone in this battle to get better. The doctors and that hospital are not doing their job at all. You really shouldnt be going home when you are bleeding out like that. Losing so much blood makes one dizzy and you could fall and hurt yourself worse. It doesnt sound like your health care is good at all. Wish you were Canadian as you would have the best doctors and be in a hospital now and it wouldnt cost you a cent. Of course you pay for your own meds at home but you get all the care and operations for free. Its really so sad. I keep praying for you.:(
