Re: My new UK shirt
26-14 All time record
17-11 Modern era record
That would be the records heads up Kentucky versus Louisville. No matter how you cut it, Past-Present-Future, Louisville will NEVER be able to carry the Big Blue's Jockstrap on the Basketball Court. When 23,000 show up for a Debate, Spelling Bee or some other acedemic activity for either school then they will be called Student-Athletes. Face it, They are Athletes that have to be Students in order to be Athletes. This happens at EVERY university on the planet but since The Big Blue is the measuring stick against all others and especially the inferior college in Louisville, UK will always be under a higher powered microscope than the others.
Lets bring in 6 new players to the 13 player roster, 3 Freshmen start and another Freshman and a Juco player come off the bench to play vital minutes, to a NIT team that probably should not have been in the NIT and go 37-3 to the Elite 8, win both the SEC regular season and Tourney Titles in THE FIRST YEAR OF THE CAL ERA - Sure glad he has never won anything and can't coach a lick. Sort of like a snowball rolling down hill it gets bigger and bigger and faster and faster, last year was just the hand size snowball of talent that is coming aboard. You saw the same thing with Benedict Pitino in the mid 90's that ended up with the BEST 3 year stretch of any team in the last 20 years, I believe it was 2 Titles and 1 Title lost in OT or it would have been 3 in a row. Keep the 2.0 Athlete/Students coming and we will concede the Debate, Chess, Spelling, Science, Math and any other academic contest to the greatness of U of L, but when they hit the hardwood...........

Re: My new UK shirt
Speaking as a **** Yankee who doesn't much care about basketball, I'd like to make one impartial observation. When UK fans get up on a high horse, there are two words that often render them speechless, and make the veins in their forehead start throbbing:
Christian Laettner

Re: My new UK shirt
ALWAYS REMEBER that no matter how good of a season UL has 90% of all UK fans will find a way to down the program. we had a few good years leading up to the horrible season we just had. big east championships, final four , elite eight while Billy G was too drunk to spell basketball. now that they got Cal and had a wonderfull season all UL fans will hear it FOREVER. UL could win Big East Championship and NCAA Chamionship for the next ten years and we still would be UNDER UK...... UK fans can ride us like goverment mules but if we say anything were " HATIN"............. PLEASE.........
as i have said in the past UK has one of the worst fan bases of all NCAA teams ,

So true! Fans on both sides act like somehow it's morally wrong to be a fan of the other team. I see that and can't help but think, what's wrong with you people? It's not like they're RANGERS fans or something!

Re: My new UK shirt
I guess I am the rare UK fan that hopes UL has a good season. If it was up to me the Cards would only lose 2 games a year. Once to Kentucky in teh regular season and once again in March.
But there are as many UofL crap spittin haters as there are from UofK... Liek I love how they talk **** about us always being in trouble with teh NCAA, when we havent been in trouble with them in almost 20 years. Old news...move on.

LOL...now that is funny. We're so bad we follow our football team to every away game in full force to mostly watch ourselves get pounded into the dirt....I think the word you're looking for is loyal to a winning tradition. A tradition that your coach help re-kindle before he jumped ship to the NBA. And your coach is still one of my favorites, traitor ot not.
Me, personally, root for all Ky schools. Hate to see the Cards have a crappy season like we did 2 yrs in a row... But when it comes down to UK/UL it's UK..UK..UK
