Calcium carbide, propane, gaseous hydrogen, liquid hydrogen, acetylene, liquid nitogen, also natural gas.We had experts in that field, when we did have a mishap, we needed to be there to help the firemen.We had a LH2 tanker over turn just out side atlanta, hazmat, the government, all didn't have an immediate response, very few people are trrained for those products. the incident was handled by experts, no damage.accidents some time happen, but BP was an accident waiting to happen, short cuts, and money saving procedures were the cause.But unfortunatly they ARE trhe experts. What can the national guard do?the navy?. When this goes to court, lawyers will make millions, tax payers will get zilch, and the folks in the gulf are going to get the foul end of the stick. Maybe some very harsh penalaty should be inflicted, like that chinese manager whowas shot for lead contamination.
So all I have to do is come up with a couple million dollars to give to my rep and the government will leave me alone? UHH sounds like extortion or maybe a bribe. So thats what it takes.
States rights is what I say. If there were states rights Jindahl wouldn't have to ask BO permission to try to do something to protect the marshes. No the almighty feds have to do a study first and then after some careful consideration let him have some permits. But what happens when ones states right causes problems to its neighbor. Like Ga. and TN during the drought.
