Re: Deaf in the Future
Pants on the ground,,,,Pants on the ground,,,,, lookin like a fool with ya pants on the ground.
I told a manager at McDonalds one day if he sent that one boy over there home to get a pair of pants that fit he would get alot more done. All this little Yap was doing was holding his stupid pants up, it's the dumbest dang thing I've ever seen in my life.

Re: Deaf in the Future
Those people using those subwoofers that make car parts rattle can't possibly be enjoying what they're listening to. It's obviously just to impress others, who I guess are really easily impressed. And I''ll be really glad when this whole pants on the ground thing goes out of fashion. But I suppose both serve a purpose by warning everybody around them: "This person is a complete idiot."

Re: Deaf in the Future
I used to live in Cali and they had several laws regarding music, car exhuast, and other decibal cranking items in vehciles. I wish they would bring that to mid-west. It was instituted due to several road rage incidents involving murders...yes murders!
One of these days, some jackazz will be thumping away and a redneck will pull up...hear the BUMPH BUMPH BUMPH...put his Ford in P...step out of his F250...and mame the idiot for blaring such rediculous crap.
That's when the laws will be a day late.

PS: I used to be one of the bass addicted idiots too. But when I started feeling that all eyes were on me and that I was disrespecting those around me...I gave it up very quickly.

Re: Deaf in the Future
Even good music played too loud is just noise. But what comes across today as music is just plain crapola. But I guess my generation needs to take the blame,we started Bill Haley, Buddy Holey, and it snowballed from there.

Actually, it started with Brahms, Bach and Beethoven and has been going down hill ever since. :)

Re: Deaf in the Future
I used to have a system like that... everytime the bass hit it felt like getting punched in teh back, but remember you are only hearing teh bass on teh outside.. he is getting all frequencies inside, and though it may sound like noise on teh outside, it probably sounds pretty sweet where he sits...
I detremined a long time ago that those that play music this loud, are making a statement about who they are... they simply want everyone to hear who they like whether the others wanna hear it or not.. i used to do this too... any redneck song came on teh radio, i had it cranked so loud bin laden could hear it from here... now i get the same point across without annoying people with bumper stickers...
and as for rappers having no talent, i have to disagree....being a guitarist, i have been forced to listen to a learn some music these guys play, and it isnt as simple as it sounds at first... some of these rap artists have as much talent as any classical composer at finidng the right mix of a variety of sounds... and as much song writing abilities as anyone else... we just happen to not care for their message...
take taylor swift for example... i could care less about songs about teeny bopper girls and their boy problems... but take two seconds to try and see it from their point of view, and taylor swift becomes a prodigy in her ability to write lyrics...
