My guess is a snakehead. They are an invasive species and were found originally in Maryland. Someone released them as they are of Asian descent and are an invasive species. The government is holding massive spotkills and eradication efforts on the Mississippi and White Rivers in Arkansas at the moment.
These things are no joke, and they have a mug only a mother could love.
i was thinking catfish. the mark of the bite kind of looked as it has a curve on the upper lip kind of like a catfish. i would think a snakehead would do more damage than that.
Don't the Snake heads have a mouth full of sharp teeth? I would think this would leave more than a bruise....

I would say catfish before snake heads.... the snakeheads have a bunch of sharp chompers, this looks like the marks we get on our hands lipping big bass or cats where the hooks get ya

Dont think I will be swimming in lakes where snakeheads are. But I do know some guys who would do the human gene pool well by swimming with them. :D
