Re: beating a dead pelican!!!
I can tell you a couple of things McCain did. He risked his life for his country. He ran into a ball of fire on a Carrier deck while planes were on fire to pull his fellow servicemen to safety. Recieved some nasty burns and almost was killed from an explosion but managed to pull several to safety, which are alive because of his efforts. He also took beatings from Hell in the Hanoi Hilton and when he could have been released he arranged others to go in front of himself. His father was a major Honcho in the Navy and had him all but home but John McCain said others deserved it more because they had been there longer, and the beatings continued.
Name one thing your guy Obama has ever done in his whole life that would ever, ever, ever compare to that, we are patiently waiting............................
Re: beating a dead pelican!!!
Mark,
I don't think anyone said that McCain had not done a number of very admirable things. He certainly has. Many of the things that McCain has done in the past are commendable. However, that does not always translate into being a good president. If McCain would have made such a great president, why did he lose to Bush the first go round? If memory serves, during the primaries to the run up for the 08 election, several of the right leaning folks on this board, including you, said that you would hold you nose and vote for McCain if he won in the primaries. Doesn't sound like a lot of republicans were fans of his either.

Re: beating a dead pelican!!!
Gorski made the comparison I didn't. His quote was Obama was a much better ''obvious'' choice than McCain. Not by me it wasn't and not by many that think just like me. Obama has accomplished nothing note worthy in his entire life that was legal. He became POTUS by dirty politics and crooked scam voting. His entire legacy is shamed with secret lies and whispers.
And I don't remember ever saying I would have to hold my nose to vote for McCain?? You are getting worse than my wife remembering crap I said 5 years ago. that I may have or may NOT have said.

itmay not be true, but look up wet start mccain
Re: beating a dead pelican!!!
It was revealed yesterday President Obama has not even met with the CEO of BP, even after saying all along he was 'overseeing' the oil spill efforts. Now that the public is starting to blame him, all of a sudden Mr. Obama is looking for an ass to kick.
He should vent his anger and punt Rahm Emanuel so hard he'd have to walk backward to see. Or maybe he could give his press hack, Gibbs an elbow smash that would wipe that smug expression off his face. No need to boot Harry Reid, looks like Nevada voters are going to take care of that for him.
The national debt is projected to be 19 trillion dollars by the end of his presidency, and not single utterance about how this will be paid back.
In a job he was never qualified for, our President is in way way WAY over his head. The all time ultimate manifestation of the Peter Principle.

Re: beating a dead pelican!!!
I'm sorry guys, but the proof is in the pudding. The current president is not a hundredth of an American as McCain is. Whether or not McCain would have been a good President we will never know. I admit he wasn't a strong candidate.
If Obama had his way he would he would be King. Isn't that obvious to everyone?
Re: beating a dead pelican!!!
I just wish McCain would have been given a chance to lead the country. To show what he could do. We never got to see the kind of leader he would have been and thats a **** shame.:(
