Thanks for the advice, Grumpy, but all I'm doing is presenting an opposing point of view, and pointing out how the author of the email supports his point of view with "facts" that are way off the mark. But not to worry; I'm not getting all in a tither just because I disagree with some anonymous person's predictions for the future, just pointing out that I do disagree.

Roadtoad, didn't you read what I wrote: " I won't go over everthing that was in the email but some things I have talked about that are changing now and will be complete in the not too distant future:"

These were my thoughts, not what was in the email. The email just reminded me of things I have been saying for a long time. I don't mind that you disagree, it was just put up as food for thought anyhow, but you just seem to object so strenuously that I had to comment.

Another example of how difficult it is to judge someone's tone by what they type. Or, conversely, how hard it is to convey the proper tone when you're just typing, and nobody can hear your "tone of voice." And I guess my use of all caps at times doesn't help. I blame George for teaching me that;) But the truth is I'm usually not nearly as worked up as my posts might make one think.

Getting back to the subject, I wonder about payphones? You sure don't see nearly as many of those as there used to be.

Never had a credit card and cut up my debit card a couple years ago, canceled my direct deposit just to grind against the system a bit more.

Bob, it is refreshing to hear from a young person that is independently wealthy and doesn't need to be concerned with their future finances or anything else for that matter.
