Re: It is amazing how Newsweek is reporting the Black Panther Case.
I listened to her on Rick's List on CNN yesterday....they broke it down and what still bothers me is that when she was asked the specific question of what she meant by questionable lines that could be taken wrong her answers were weak and not very good. She didn't have answers for some of them.
I have a feeling that she will have more polished answers as this stays in the news and that bothers me as well.
You have to ask yourself what would have happened if a white person said the exact same speech? Would he or she be given the opportunity to defend those statements? Would the NAACP back off? Ha, you know that answer.
Another thing bothers me about this lady and that's her comment of not enough people of color being in the USDA. Uhh excuse me but is white a color? Asians, Hispanics and other shades of colors qualify as color? I am sick and tired of racial comments like that! A black person can say that and it goes unnoticed because they get a free ride on some things..She goes on to mention that you havent heard of folks getting let go from the USDA with a sneer. That sneer to me meant that come on do what I do for a living you can't get fired.....and in the end it looks like she may be right.
I'm not forgiving her because I think her story was made to show how she can control whites while in power. Heck even the folks at the speech clapped at the comments of her holding back services. I think her speech mellows out toward the end to compensate for the racially charged beginning.
None of this matters to anyone but I don't buy into this not being racial. This woman had her father killed by a white farmer(i think maybe KKK) and now we are supposed to believe she doesn't have a racial bone in her body? She and a group of black farmers were denied financial support way back then by white officials and she isn't a is racist? We are all to some degree. I'm sorry folks call me hardheaded or ignorant but I don't think she is a saint like she is now being made out to be.
... I'm not "VERSUS" anyone thank you very much. I don't look at rich people, white, black or purple, as being my enemy. I want us all to be rich. It's our Government that keeps that nonesense going so they can keep power.
Well said!
