It took just as long for Asian Carp to get into Kentucky waters as it takes for some people to get a joke...
I forget who started it but calling them Kentucky Tuna is a bad idea. I know someone started it trying to get people interested in eating the fish so more would be harvested but if that name sticks it will not be a good thing.
First of all they aren't only in Kentucky and they didn't originate in Kentucky, so the name isn't even accurate. Second you are taking a trash fish and equating it to good fish that people like to eat. This is bad for the image of Kentucky and will only serve to give the rest of the world yet another reason to look down on Kentucky "they are so poor or dumb in Kentucky that they think Carp is Tuna". We really don't need more people thinking that way about Kentucky.
Even though they are commonly referred to as Asian Carp they are actually 2 different species, Big Head Carp and Silver Carp. Let's call them what they are are...
:D thats bad judgement for kentuckiana we have 2 teeth we date our sisters an we eat tuna from the river hahahahahahah
