Last year we went Fri, Sat, Sun and most of us stayed in cabins at horse creek.....I stayed in the big cabin which slept 10 and we all split the cost....don't remember the exact amount but it wasnt much for the 2 nights...for the door prize we all put up I belive 20 bucks....someone can correct me if I'm wrong....everybody got more than $20 worth of FNF jigs, bobbers, some jigs, some crankbaits, siliver buddies, and a ton of stuff....then there were a few grand prizes....there was an all pro FNF rod, a guided trip on KY Lake that was generously donated by Dave Stewart, a boat recarpeting that was donated by another board member and tons of stuff.....We also had Elwood aka Elnutsmalljaws speak on the FNF and Steve Headrick the smallmouth guru speak on smallmouth and Dale Hollow....It was an excellent time to be had by all...If you want more details you can send a PM to Elwood
It was $25 a night per person to stay in the big cabin. It is a nice big cabin too. I was comfortable there. If we can get it again I will be staying there again. Had a great time last year and I am in for the door prizes again if Elwood decides to do them.
well I`m in again this yr,,hope nothing goes wrong like last yr. I`ll give up another carpet job for a door prize again. I`m guessing my son will want in on this too. Didn`t get to meet all you last yr,so looking forward to it this yr.We are planning trip to Dale in Nov. So when Elwood gets ready to get it all together I`ll send him a card....
Doug we apprecite you being generous enough to donate last year and this year....its people like you that made it possible last year and can hopefully make it as much fun this year as it was last...I think I speak for everybody when i say thank you
I will try and make it pending my work schedule.
Just trying to get an idea how many people would be interested in a FNF get together like we had last year at Dale....not setting anything in stone would just like to see if the interest was high enough to start putting something together....i think most of the guys that went last year, despite the slightly poor fishing, will tell you that it was well worth the time and money...i know i enjoyed myself enough to give it another try this year...post here if you would be interested
Just a thought, may be not everyone who attended last year watches the Board that often? How about a PM or Email to all of last years attendees to poll their interest? Just my 2 Cents.
that is a good idea boone....elwood had all that contact info....i think most people that were there last year have expressed interest....elwood if you still have that info will you send a pm to those people and see if theyre interested
If the dates are 17-19 I can be there.
Any weekends are good for me. 17 -19 Dec seems like a good weekend. Any votes for anything else. My partner is coming in from PA so I would like to let him know the dates as soon as possible. I am in for 2 in the large cabin as well. 8 more and we can fill it.
I can go ahead and speak for 2 in teh big cabin....that makes 4
Are these the dates to plan on for sure?
