For YOU Jig Fisherman

This my experience and my friends and i fish a jig A LOT down at Dale Hollow. Most of the guides i talk to will not go over 12lb floro. I use 12 to 14lb BPS XPS floro myself and a 7' rod. I like to fish a football jig down there too because you have more feel with it but it hangs more in the grass. I fish it like others with the same retrieve as a carolina rig and i also just reel it a little and stop as well. I have noticed that they seem to hit a football jig harder than a smaller jig with a lift and drop retrieve. I also shake a jig down there when i go to a regular casting jig that is lighter. If you are ever down there at a time when we are down i am sure we can find room in a boat for ya. My friends have a place at Star Point so they are there a lot.
