Just heard this morning (after rumors for the last year or so) that Apple will make an Iphone for Verizon in the next couple of months. Waiting till my contract is up in April and been thinking about jumping ship from AT&T.
a few years ago my brothe, niece and I were coming up from TN and her cell wouldn't connect so we stopped at a verizon store and they turned her roaming on because they said that verizon doesn't actually have towers here and they use the sprint towers in ky. Been 2 years so it might have changed but I get better coverage here with att then I did with verizon.
Actually Verizon uses Bluegrass Towers
Bluegrass works at Nolin, Rough, Barren, Green, Dale Hollow, Cumberland, Laurel and Ky Lake.
And by the way, dump the IPhone and go with Android.

I agree with this. I've had both and like the Android a lot more.
My sprint phone does not have service anywhere on Dale Hollow. At Kentucky Lake now. No service at Blood River. I have friends that work for a cell tower installation company..... That company chose Verizon over all others. Figure they know what works best.
Might be worth a try. Don't know hat kind of phone you have.
I have sprint too and could not get internet except in a city or town. A lot of the phone companies share tower equipment (roaming). Tech support finally updated the PRL file (Preffered Roaming List) on my phone and I get phone and internet virtually everywhere now. All over L Cumberland (except up in Beaver which is really out in the Boonies). Not sure if this would apply to your phone but might be worth a shot vs paying the high Verizon prices.

I have the iPhone and love it. Matter of fact am posting this from my iPhone... Never owned a droid buy my buddy (brinksguy) has one at it is pretty sweet
If and when I go to Verizon, it will definitely be an Android phone or whatever they have at that point in time.
Yeah. The I phone web browser is just like a real computer web browser and it is easy to make posts and read posts on this board. The new Blackberry Torch also has a web browser like the i phone (looks and works same way as the web browser on your computer). I can post with my older blackberry but have to do a fair amount of scrooling.
