We're putting in at the state park....we're brining minnows with us I was just kidding about the bait cage....just hopin to catch a few...it'll only be 2nd time on dale ever

Caught several friday with the same as rick had caught.Also most had sores on their sides also.Its more than the skin pigments,they all had black spots all over them which is pretty common from what I have seen.But the black spots that are like rick is describing and what I seen friday doesnt look good.Only on largemouth though.Maybe a biologist can shed some light on these black growths on them.
I did call the creel survey man about it an gave him the info on pics.
sounds like we are moving from pigment discoloration to tumor's.

Thats a nasty lookin Green fish for sure, maybe the begennings of "Elephant Man Fish". I have caught several also with the black fungus, but the tumors are new for me!
