Re: Just back from Dale Hollow Nov 26 - 28.
Given my history on Dale, this sounds like a pretty good trip! I've zero'd on Dale several times. I've never fished this late in the year. I'm not sure if I fished Elnut's honey holes if it would improve my luck on this lake.
You can ask Geo, he knows EXACTLY where my honey holes are and he has problems catching fish there. Honey Holes are like any other, KVD could drive the boat tie on the bait for you and say cast that way, but that does not necessarily mean you will catch fish. I do know that if you fish the Honey Holes that I have found over the past 6 years the way I fish them you would not be ZERO'ing on Dale. I have skunked only 1 day TOTAL EVER since 2004. Had some days where we have only caught a couple had other days when we have caught 15-20. We average 10-15 a day in the winter and if there is not a 4 plus pounder in the boat within the first half hour of daylight, we are looking at each other wondering what is happening. I have lucked out and patterened one spot into about 6 and they really do produce. My buddy Cliff said if for a couple of years there was enough fish there to win the Billy Westmoreland on these spots and I never got a chance to try it until last year. We lucked out and won the tourney and will be trying to make it 2 in a row this weekend.
