Re: The "Moment of Truth"
I remember not long ago we were all on this site talkin' about how our childrens children would be stuck paying the bills...well, here we are now, seeing it all come to fruition...Granted, the fit hasn't hit the shan yet, but it's now in discussion, all over the latest headlines, etc...and here we are...HERE WE ARE! We're where we're at and that's about all any of us can really say about it...at least right now anyway.
It seems to me the "American Dream" has been slowly eroding and slipping out of reach for most common folk for a long time, but now it seems to me like it's spiraling out of reach at a much faster pace than it ever was before...and yes I DO blame Nobama and his team mates for this...I know it's been a long time in coming and he ain't 100% to blame, but by gawd what an idiot he was to even think for a minute that he could go on some ridiculous spending spree while our country had been suffering financially.
As far as all those plastic trinkets on the shelves...I make a serious effort to not make purchases of foriegn goods...but in all honesty I feel everyone has to cave at some point on purchases because it's mighty hard to NOT buy something other than a foriegn product because that's what occupies 90% of retailers shelves.
Devils Horse - You sound like a fine candidate for POTUS, if you're running for office keep us posted.
Kydonky - Trump is obviously a shrewd business man, or at least he was at one time...he probably has some good idea's he could bring to the table at the White House....I think the white house ought to invite him in for discussions, idea's and opinions regardless of party affiliation.
Don - Let's ban together and get the Unions, ALL unions whether they're corrupt or not, out of here! Amen brother, you're singing my song!
One more question, maybe someone here might know...Aren't we all supposed to see a change in our tax deductions after January 1st, 2011? Or is the jury still out on this?

Yes I know, Have you noticed that 99.99999999999% of fishing tackle is made in china now? I do the same thing and end up buying china fishing tackle.
I'm considering becomining a whino alcoholic because every bottle of wine comes with a cork bobber and a lead foil sinker LOL. The only thing stopping me is I am not sure where the american wineries get their corks (probably china).

The jury's still out. It all depends on whether Bush's tax cuts get extended or not. They're set to expire on 1/1/11.
