We are on! I am a basketball coach so it will have to be an open weekend for me. I will send a PM when I can go. I am kind of partial to shallow water though.:) I know a pretty good deep pocket at the main lake but I aint taking you there!
See, we already have something in common...........I coached my daughter in AAU ball for 5 or 6 years.....
Louisville Lady Tigers and Derby City Dragons.......
LOTS of fun........traveled all over Indiana, KY and TN playing ball.

I too was wondering if you were being sarcastic, or I might have replied sooner. Sarcasm works better when you can hear the other person speaking, like when I call you a right-wing, racist war monger on the phone :D
Just like the last time we argued over this very same Snopes article, I still think we'd be better off using those resources to develop alternative energy sources. OH, wait a minute, I forgot, we're NOT arguing over the Snopes article, are we? OK that's cool. I think we already agreed to disagree on that. Besides, you were just making a joke. Um, with all due respect, George, don't quit your day job. You're a better DBA than a comedian.

I don't know if we're better off investing these fields or not.....I think Canada never thought they could be successful with the tar sands, but you know what, they ARE. And we get a ton of oil from Canada.
I think if we spent some money actually researching the idea of making these fields successful, we could tap our own reserves, and use them.
On another note......maybe the gubment has plans for these fields when we do hit peak oil. Maybe when the Muslim world says FU uncle sam.........you get NONE of our OIL to fly sorties and bomb us into oblivion. When that happens, and I think it might........it is nice to know we will have enough of our own reserves to turn the table.
Maybe there is something to that.
